Meet the Family

Welcome to my home/mansion!
You like? no, not really...got you going there for a second, huh? LOL No, this is the Bishops Palace in Galveston, Tx--really really Nice and I Love the History on it.
Meet my family: It is I (brenda), my husband(samuel-bad lighting on him--poor him--he probably doesn't want me to post this pic but it's really cute! and TRUST me -we don't really have family pics because the times we've tried taking some the kids are ALL OVER the place and they just will not cooperate -so we make do) my oldest daughter Nadalyn known as "lily" (she's called herself that since she was 2 --so we all do too) my son samuel israel known as "izzy" and my little one Arianna.

This was taken at our beach in Freeport, Tx (not the most beautiful one--but hey it's what we got and we sure enjoy it!)
During hurricane season, that's why the water was so dark. My kids love going to the beach whenever we get a chance, good thing its only 20 min. from where we live.
Miss Naddy, she's my "mini-me" as they say. Its as if I'm staring at one of my childhood photographs, too bad she has my personality too! Well not that it is a bad thing, actually it should be a good thing--it's just that I bet we are the type that just get on some peoples nerves (lol) : bubbly personality, loud, sentimental, have different fashion sense (as you can see from above--she picked that by herself-smile) too photogenic (hahaha) and overall well rounded--we love making new friends!
My little "IZZY" - such a sweet boy (when he wants to be)he seems to get shy around people but watch out when he gets to know you "friendly" punches get thrown everywhere. Oh I MUST mention, he has that hardcore "laugh out loud" i'm having such a blast laughter, just cracks you up!
Being Silly--these were taken last year before the baby was born. This is a great tip for Awesome Cheap photos you should all dress up and head on over to your nearest Civic center or pretty much anywhere they have nice landscaping and feel free to take photos. They come out really nice!

My 3 beautiful BLESSINGS!
I DO thank God for my children and even though they drive me a little insane every now and then (lol) I wouldn't trade them for the world! They are so precious!
This is me once again with my baby Arianna, loving every moment of my life:the good, the bad, the sad, the happy, the angry (lol), the poor, the rich...everything and anything as so long as I have LIFE to praise God in Everything!

I cannot sleep...

So, its a little past 1 am & I cannot sleep...why? So many things are going through my head! I get excited over something like an idea and my mind starts spinning on how to make it come to life! Don't you get like that? Anything, wether it be a project, an item, etc. Well--Mine's this: Coming up and perfecting a business plan...I've been wanting to have a my own little business for the longest time and have always started up something but never finished it...not that I don't have what it takes to do it...because I am a very motivated person and I don't lack creativity...It's just the discipline part. Do you get what I mean? I have not gained enough discipline to execute the plan, perfect the product and set sail with it. First of, what do I dedicate it to? There are so many things I love to do!
I am planning something like.."Party planning, gifts and more", just because I LOVE a good party and feel like where I'm at there's not alot of services for it (especially for kids!), then I ultimately love creating and sewing and could not leave that out...so that's where the gifts and more come in..Do you think it's smart that I combine everything? I just don't want to make it too tacky and I definitely want to seem professional.
I'll be working on a plan here and praying for wisdom.
"Be Still and Know that I am God" Psalms 46:10
I love this verse..It brings me Peace!

Wipe cases, bibs, gift ideas!

Meet my lil' Inspiration: Arianna Avital
She's the one that started my passion for boutique items.
IDK I guess 'cause she's the baby and I don't plan on having anymore--(but my hubby does..lol).
These are just some wipe cases/bibs that I had made last year--just wanted to show you so you can see how many different styles/combinations you can make. The bibs are super easy to make as well--I only hate the clasp/velcro part! ;P
She did good on modeling them bows...

Our first "official" burp cloth.

I love this set!

3pc including wipe case, burp cloth and bib--beginners...:)

Now on this one I'm definitely gotten better--gave this one to my little sister for her babyshower.

Too cute--send this one as a freebie on one of my ebay auctions...I bet she was pleasantly surprised.

One of my first ones...have gotten better...yay me!

dresses i've put together...

I've said over and over that I love to SEW..right?! Well I also believe in Refashioning clothes because theres' so much in this world already ~why not use some of our own resources..
This is made from my daughters old TCP jeans and some scrap material and buttons I had lying around the house.
I did buy this top at WalMart on clearance for $1 and then cut the birdie out of fabric with my Cricut.
Don't you just love the "blinged" out look with the Converse on your little girlie?
I do! Both my little one and my oldest have a pair I've made for them, my son has some too--but they're not embellished!
This is also recycled I would say, because originally this fabric was bought for tablecloths at my babyshower this past year when I finally decided to do something with it. Made one for the baby as well as for big sister...

hers of course had lots of tulle underneath...and yes they wore them with their Converse! I did get some help in making these..you see I love Sewing but I don't consider myself a professional--at least--just NOT YET...but here soon I will be! :)

Paintings and more!

This here is my daughter's bowholder--yea--it's filled...and yet I think I have to make some new ones..lol. I always forget that this blog always posts things from bottom to top..so to read the intro would you please scroll to the bottom...thks...
Another one--this one is actually for sale at a little boutique I love....STUFF N' SUCH...isn't that cute...She has some of the nicest things to offer...stop by and check it out.. 710 W. Mulberry in Angleton, TX. Girls clothes, new and used, purses, belts, jewlery, Womans clothes (new and EUC), Refashioned new Clothes, boutique items for babies, children and women.
When I Did my son's room for the first time I was so EXCITED! I got these bedsheets at Target (i LOVE Target or Tarje't :) I want to make something unique for his room so we painted these stripes and I made these outlet plaques coordinate w/ the bed spread. You can't see it in the pic but it actually has a nice glossy look to it.

*Its' just a plain jane white plaque, then I painted it with acrylic paints and let it dry.

* Then I took it to a well open/vented area and sprayed it with a bottle of clear laquer..you can get it at lowes.

*Waited for it to dry and "walah" screwed them in, I thought they came out cute.
(maybe i should do a tutorial--whaddaya think? )

These are the stripes we painted (maybe not the straightest) but it gives the room charm, and overhead is a frame that I made which has his name, it's meaning, bible verse and at the bottom his date of birth, weight and length...there's a close up pic at the bottom. ( I like to give these as bday gifts.)
This one her I painted for our Living Room, we we're redecorating and I was gonna go buy some prints and then figured why not just display my own work? What do you think?
This one is to coordinate the one above and it hangs above my fireplace ---you can't tell the details b/c I took a bad photo of it...but I think it's beautiful. I love the 3D effect embellishments give to artwork. The fabric is the same one that I used to make the throw pillows in my "sala" (living room) and then at the bottom I sewed a strand of swarskowi crystals. It's truly beautiful when the overhead light hits it.
This red one is one that used to be in the "sala" before everything got redecorated and now it sits over our bed..I loved the bright reds and yellow and that energy it gives off. I used some real good acrylic paint and painted some thick strokes so it has a textured feel.
The "Princess" canvas...I painted this for my nieces bday last yr and embellished it with ribbon and sequins and painted there names on it...too cute! They Loved it.
Not, the best pic, but this is the close up I was talking about earlier..
A mini "Princess" canvas...this ones' available.
"MY LITTLE COWBOY" canvas..I Love this one...I can just imagine a little baby all dressed up in his boots. Has some ribbon embellishment with tiny twill rope around it.
This here is called ''SWEET SAILOR DREAMS'' and is perfect for that Nautical themed room/nursery...

Sometimes I like to call myself a "Jane of All trades"--just because I love to do alot of things and feel that I do a nice job at it...Not that i'm trying to be conceited...:)
I Love Art--Like to paint, draw, put together, SEW (my favorite), I Love to CREATE, party planning and decorating..I love Games!..I'm a licensed Beautician..Love Color! ...I Love to Cook! (probably because I LOVE to Eat!) and wait...I think I'm repeating myself b/c I listed this on the About Me section..huh? Anyways here's some of the things I've Made lately...

Catchin' UP...

Well, lets see what I can talk about today...put my mind into text..lol.
I have been Really busy with BTS, and trying to clean and organize my home (for those of you who don't know--I have to be very Organized..if i'm not--then my house just doesn't seem Clean--even if it "looks" clean but I know that things aren't where they should be then I feel its NOT --I know i'm fighting off OCD...hahaha..is that what its called...) Anyways--I am completely taking everything out of my kids rooms and selling/ebaying or donating what they do not need or want..I need our space back.I have to do this at least every 3 mos. to clean and declutter--I think every household should do that ( maybe you can put that on your to do list..ha..) You'd be surprised on how much stuff you accumilate and then don't actually use or need. The REAL reason behind this is "I'm tired of cleaning after the family" and not having "me" time to do the things I "need" to do (ebay) and "want" to do (sew-sew-sew!).
If you have any organizing, cleaning shortcut tips or ideas...feel free to comment.
MINE ARE:
*Pick a day out of the week and do laundry--All of it from start to finish, i.e. sort, launder, fold, iron, put up.
*Do HEAVY cleaning at LEAST ONCE A MONTH.
Thats' all the DEEP cleaning you can think of, clean cabinets, closets, scrub tile, clean carpet, etc...
*One day out of the week to run errands--all at the same time--makes it easier and saves on Ga$.
*Definitely hit the stack of paperwork that you need to toss, save(file) and use.
*Try to keep life as simple as you can so that you may ENJOY it more!
