Ladybug girl!

Wow, I can't believe my baby turns "2"!
Last year we did cupcakes, cupcakes! I was planning on doing an all LADYBUG theme but we will have to split it up with MR.SPIDERMAN! My son turns 4 about 2wks after my "nana" . We'll just do it together because money is tight with the soon-to-be opening of my hairsalon.
Here she is with her homemade tutu. I had a black onesie and I sewed a #2 that I made using my Cricut machine. I made her a "no-sew" tutu with black and red tulle and added ladybug ribbons to it as well as rhinestones for embellishments. Her "antenna" is made out of a regular headband that I attached the pom-poms and felt "sticks" (I cannot seriously think of their name right now and I'm too tired to get up and look for the package--I will certainly come and edit this when I do!) I also made matching bows from the ribbon and added tulle to the back, they are on lined alligator clips and since she really doesn't have much hair I just attached them onto the antenna and they look too cute!

The top shoes are her converse that I added regular glitter with Mod Podge--(I've now found better glitter...the real fine one works well). I took off her laces and just put polka dotted ribbon as the laces, and went ahead and cut out a ladybug from the fabric I had and ironed it on.
I made her sister a matching skirt and sandals for the theme, as well as invites--which I will definitley have to post soon!
