what to do?? breathe in & breath out

Wow, What a Day Today?!
We had some sad news this morning that of course just changes the course of our day but I can't imagine changing the course of "their" lives...
I'm feeling a bit stressed this morning and don't know if its PMS or just anxiety over things I WANT to do, things I NEED to do and things I SHOULD be doing. I'm sure many of you know what I am talking about, especially those of you who are full time Mommies and working ones at that...I on the other hand also run a business and do my best to stay active at our church and praise God through all of it. I SO NEED to return to blogging!! It's my THERAPY, MY OUTLET, even if noone does read it..LOL!
I wanted to turn this blog into a hair and makeup one but I think I will just keep it as is and keep on writing on life, food, crafts and God. I will make a Professional Salon one later.
My stress is on making a Portfolio for my hair and makeup skills, I have thought about it before but never put any real thoughts into it because I thought my word of mouth referrals would do. Seems like it's definitely not the case for bigger events, bridal, photographers, networking and etc.
I have to come up with a plan to come up with a great one, and on top of that I have been really into learning to do Retro Vintage Hair and Makeup!!
It sounds exciting, I just have to get some models!
May God continue to give me the strength, sanity, joy and peace He has been giving me and showering me with His Love through this Process!

It's coming up again!! HoustonSouth JBF SALE!! The "JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS" SALE is AWESOME!! It only happens twice a year, so you better not miss it! Let me tell you why:

1. YOU CAN MAKE SOME REAL CASH!! and who doesn't need extra $$ in these times? The great part is that if you have kids, more than likely you have LOTS of stuff, clothes, toys, etc. laying around that no longer fit or get used at all...so why not bring it in? I'll tell you my real testimonial without making this up..for the FALL sale, JBF sent me a check of over $380!! That was all from my childrens clothes and toys that were no longer getting used, that if I sold at a garage sale would probably not even make half of that amount! (Now everyones' case may be different because you have to remember that it depends on how many good quality items you bring, how you price it and how much percentage you recieve depending on your consignor status..details in their home page.)


2. DECLUTTER THE HOUSE AND HAVE SOMEWHERE TO TAKE YOUR STUFF!! You fix your items, tag them and drop them off. You can either pick up what didn't sell or just DONATE it and not worry about it!!


3. SHOP AND SAVE! What better way than to kill two birds with one stone, you can take your items and make money while at the same time going shopping for your kids for GREAT items at AWESOME prices!! So alot of times I like to think about it as more of a "trading game" in which I always still come out with some extra cash! Alot of the items here are namebrand, many items that I myself might not have purchased at retail prices ( I have 3 kids--I like to budget!) i.e. Gymboree, RalphLauren, Gap, Janie&Jack, Pediped shoes and many others, It's not just CLOTHES..BUT CHILDRENS TOYS, FURNITURE, MATERNITY CLOTHES AND LOTS MORE!!

4. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY!! RECYCLE-REUSE! Alot of these items are in great if not like new condition, they just rotate hands and let others get more use out of them. Which is far better than getting thrown out or us going and spending lots of $$ on clothes that will only get used a couple of times.


5. MOMS' DAY OUT!! This one is my favorite because every year my sister and I always look forward to this. We are always consignors/barterers so we get to shop the Pre-Sale, so we get someone to babysit and we are KID-FREE for ONE WHOLE DAY!! ( Come on, you know the thought of that sounds fun!!) We take the whole day and work it to where we go out an eat, maybe get our nails done, do some shopping for us and then drop of our stuff and later that evening go shopping for our kids..without the hassle of chasing them down or having them pull on our shirts! LOL IT really is an ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE!!

Happy 25th to me! Yay!

Happy 25th to me...

and I am not saying that to make anyone sick..lol.
I am very grateful to God for giving me this life I have --so in my appreciativeness of my life I am writing this post (I promise I'll try not to make it too long). This is to CELEBRATE my life so I've added some silly photos of me and even a "BONUS" -A VIDEO! Yes, that is me! and no, it's not to offend anyone...its just to show you one of my "many" different funny personalities...LOL! I love life and have always been a giver--hehehe---especially a giver of laughter! the will to make someone laugh, smile at no cost to me...even if its a little embarassing..and especially LOVE! For you to know that you ARE Loved is one of the most important things in my life, Love covers all things! On to my day plans for today: Zitto, Nada..IDK...I do know that I HAD contemplated a grand day to celebrate my 1/4 of a century celebration..and in my crazy desires it went something like this: a HAMSTER BALL (those things you get in and roll around in--yes like a real hamster ball just in adult size), a huge mega waterslide, a sumo wrestler arena w/ the fat suits, a boxing ring, a pool full of jell-0 or spaghetti, and lots and lots of food! Yes everyone said I was crazy--but doesn't that just sound like F-U-N?

(I'd thought I post a "pretty" pic before I do all the "crazy" ones..hahaha) anyways back to my story...so it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen b/c of the lack of that magic word "money". Gosh, "money" sure makes everything go round and round, wish we could just swap services for services..huh?
So, I told Hubby--I guess you have 5 yrs to save to make my wish come true! hahaha...I do think you should at least go out and "splurge" every 5 yrs for your birthday if we can't afford it every year...
I think I'll still have that "inner-child" in me and I definitely don't mean "in" me ...I better tell hubby that because I don't want any more kids..lol

Meet the Family

Welcome to my home/mansion!
You like? no, not really...got you going there for a second, huh? LOL No, this is the Bishops Palace in Galveston, Tx--really really Nice and I Love the History on it.

Meet my family: It is I (brenda), my husband(samuel-bad lighting on him--poor him--he probably doesn't want me to post this pic but it's really cute! and TRUST me -we don't really have family pics because the times we've tried taking some the kids are ALL OVER the place and they just will not cooperate -so we make do) my oldest daughter Nadalyn known as "lily" (she's called herself that since she was 2 --so we all do too) my son samuel israel known as "izzy" and my little one Arianna.

This was taken at our beach in Freeport, Tx (not the most beautiful one--but hey it's what we got and we sure enjoy it!)

During hurricane season, that's why the water was so dark. My kids love going to the beach whenever we get a chance, good thing its only 20 min. from where we live.

Miss Naddy, she's my "mini-me" as they say. Its as if I'm staring at one of my childhood photographs, too bad she has my personality too! Well not that it is a bad thing, actually it should be a good thing--it's just that I bet we are the type that just get on some peoples nerves (lol) : bubbly personality, loud, sentimental, have different fashion sense (as you can see from above--she picked that by herself-smile) too photogenic (hahaha) and overall well rounded--we love making new friends!

My little "IZZY" - such a sweet boy (when he wants to be)he seems to get shy around people but watch out when he gets to know you "friendly" punches get thrown everywhere. Oh I MUST mention, he has that hardcore "laugh out loud" i'm having such a blast laughter, just cracks you up!

Being Silly--these were taken last year before the baby was born. This is a great tip for Awesome Cheap photos you should all dress up and head on over to your nearest Civic center or pretty much anywhere they have nice landscaping and feel free to take photos. They come out really nice!

I DO thank God for my children and even though they drive me a little insane every now and then (lol) I wouldn't trade them for the world! They are so precious!

This is me once again with my baby Arianna, loving every moment of my life:the good, the bad, the sad, the happy, the angry (lol), the poor, the rich...everything and anything as so long as I have LIFE to praise God in Everything!

I cannot sleep...

So, its a little past 1 am & I cannot sleep...why? So many things are going through my head! I get excited over something like an idea and my mind starts spinning on how to make it come to life! Don't you get like that? Anything, wether it be a project, an item, etc. Well--Mine's this: Coming up and perfecting a business plan...I've been wanting to have a my own little business for the longest time and have always started up something but never finished it...not that I don't have what it takes to do it...because I am a very motivated person and I don't lack creativity...It's just the discipline part. Do you get what I mean? I have not gained enough discipline to execute the plan, perfect the product and set sail with it. First of, what do I dedicate it to? There are so many things I love to do!
I am planning something like.."Party planning, gifts and more", just because I LOVE a good party and feel like where I'm at there's not alot of services for it (especially for kids!), then I ultimately love creating and sewing and could not leave that out...so that's where the gifts and more come in..Do you think it's smart that I combine everything? I just don't want to make it too tacky and I definitely want to seem professional.
I'll be working on a plan here and praying for wisdom.

Why start blogging? & what's in the title?

Hello and Welcome to my First official Blog...This is more like an introduction as to why I've started blogging and Why the Title? First off, I want to say that I've really enjoyed viewing everyone elses' blogs and so I finally figured..why not make my own? I have alot to say (trust me) and alot to give..I love being inspired..so why not Inspire someone else..As you can read from my about me or my profile i have alot of interest or "hobbies'' and i'm hoping to share that with you..Also i always seem to have a Take in Almost Everything and i ramble alot ( even maybe when i shouldn't) This will be like my little "outlet" -where i hope to not hurt anyones' feelings and just let me be myself and express myself as i wish...I'm not the kind of person that likes to hold in emotions...it's very hard for me to do...I don't think that's healthy...: )Now unto the title..what's in it? I Believe in Gettn' the best out of Life..because you know..We ONly have ONE Life to live ..so why not get the best out of it ...why Not Want the best out of it? Now, i'm not just talking "Material" things because that comes and goes..I'm talking about Life itself and what we go through...Gettn' the best out of Happy times, Sad times, Angry times(yea-i don't know how you can get the best out of that..LOL..maybe you'll Learn not to get as Mad 'cause you ended up doing something ridicuolous --remember that time...)Poor times, Rich times..etc..you get the picture..How do we get the best out of those times? We Learn, We improve ..We can Share with others..We Vent..We Trust...There's Alot more when we really think about it...So stop frowning...stop feeling depressed...you know sometimes we do that to ourselves and not the world...so get up..get inspired..GET THE BEST OUT OF LIFE and do SomeThing!!!!
